How to enter Chinese characters on Windows XP

To enable entering Chinese Characters on Windows XP follow the instructions below.

From Control Panel:  (XP category view)

Click  Date, Time, Langauge and Regional Options

next Click  Regional and Language Options

now Click  Languages Tab and Tick Install files for East Asian languages and then Click  OK

After the files have been installed on your PC,  in the same window as above Click  Details

now Click Add Tab

In the Input language box, select Chinese (PRC) and Tick Keyboard layout / IME

then select Chinese (Simplified) – Microsoft IME 3.0

Now Click Apply and OK
